Caregiver project was funded in 2012 by the Province of Florence with ESF resources. The project aimed at providing unemployed people with knowledge and skills needed to perform basic care activities for elderly or disabled people.
15 people were trained for, overall, 600 hours, 250 of them spent in internships in care facilities. Topics ranged from interpersonal communication and psychology to safety on the workplace and basic computing; from basic care techniques and methodology of social work to laws regulating the organization and provision of care services.
